Exclamation Please Read....Need Advise quick....Maybe blown motor.

I drove home friday no problems what so ever. I went to get in the car today to run to the store and it would not crank. Battery seemed a little low. So I yanked it and charged it Put it back in a few mins ago, and tried to crank again. Its the weirdest thing. I here the starter turning, but its as if its not turning the motor, but is at the same time. I tried to push it off and I could tell that the engine had compression when i did that, but with the starter it seems like there is no compression. Also when I turn the key to the on position I can feel a vibration in the gear stick, and when I turn the key off it goes away. There is no oil under the car/water. No signs that something is blown. I just dont get it. it was fine friday havent touched it at all this weekend till today and boom.

If it is the motor can someone point me to the quickest most cost effective replacement. I was gonna send this other engin I yanked out a wreck to kevin landers. IS there anyone in the Mississippi area that anyone knows of.

Thanks

sounds odd, try checking the front pulleys while cranking the engine and see if they move. if they don't i would suspect a loose flywheel nut/broken or worn dowel, that or the starter is not engaging at all, may be a solenoid issue.

Well, my buddy just left and we were able to get her started....took us a few good pushes. But it did not want to start at first. Tires squeelin, lurching the whiole 9 yards....After it started I drove it accross the causeway about 10 miles round trip. Got it home killed the engine....waited a few and she started back up.

My buddy did make a point in reminding me that 2 weeks ago I washed the engine bay, After that it would not start either and took us pushing her off then to. He thinks I may have some water in there still.

Either way I am just happy she started, I was almost in tears fearing the worst.
I love my RX7 as much as my kids.
