hi, i was driving my 90 gxl home from school today when my friend found a switch coming out of the carpet in the back. i just baught the car a couple of weeks ago and didnt know what it was. the switch said on and off. my friend turns it on and then the car died and there was a loud sound from the trunk. the car wouldnt start until it was done. i look at the switch and it says 3/4 hp vaccuum(sp lol). what is this? the car ran different afterwards, when it started. my guess is a vaccuum in the fuel tank because afterwards my fuel gauge went up half the distance it was down. any ideas what it is?

 

Follow the yellow brick road and see what it goes to why ask someone els when that person never seen your car, I'm sorry got out of bed on the wrong side.

 

just wondering if this was a common add on, fuel saver maybe. in that case hooray for me.

 

a lot of times when we buy our cars second-handed we don`t know what we are getting into. When I got mine it had two ground wires and one positive for the battery.

check your car with someone you trust(check the electrical very important), `cause right now you are blind folded. You don`t know what the other owner did to the car before you.
