dude that just happened to me, theres probably a seal gone betwene the rotor housing and one of the end caps so the compression is going into the water passage way. the more you drive it the worse it will get. if you drive it for to long you will push all the water out and it will overheat. so park it and rebuild the engine

before you panic: do you get lots of white smoke when you start it? did you try refilling it with coolant and bleeding the air out?

it will get worse and worse and worse. until you have just messed up the whole thing. you can just replace the neccessary things I mean as long as your engine is not blown you should be able to reuse the apex seals and all the stuff that is not fucked. do some reaserch and take it easy on the car or just don't drive it at all. Check prices on things that would be replaced.

Stop complaining, i just lost engine # 2 and turbo # 3 in november, and i'm still not back on the road.

Do a search for "broken coolant seal fix" you should find a link for a temporary fix using purple power degreaser and block sealant that might temporarily work, if you're lucky. it didn't for me though

Try that, but remember, it's only a band-aid. you will need a rebuild! make sure when you drain the coolant you drain it from both the radiator and block, then fill it up with water, and repeat 3 or 4 times. i was lazy and only did it twice, which may be why it didn't work for me. i'm gonna try again and do it right when the weather gets nicer.

the radiatior drain is obviously on the bottom of the radatior. its plastic and is very easy to strip, so use the largest screwdriver that will fit in there and be careful. the block drain is on the driverside of the engine. its kind of in the engine mount. its made out of brass, or has a brass coating so it should stand out from the others. you can get at it from the top, i think its either a 1/2 inch hex or 13 mm. be really careful when taking that one off. DO NOT use your hand on it or you will regret it as the coolant in the block will be much hotter than in the radiator

I suggest getting a job if you don't have one, and saving for a rebuild.

Welcome to RX-7 LAND!!

THIS PROBABLY MEANS THAT YOUR O_RINGS OR The casting in the water seal groove area, and the edge of the seal support is BROKEN. ( this is in the side housing where the waterpump goes )thread ended.
