Please help me out.

I just need the dimensions of the split air flange that is on the split air pipe connected to the cat. My car is away for storage right now. I'd like to get everything ready for when i can get it out and instal my exhaust. My original split air pipe has a 1" rotted through portion. I'm going to fab up a new flange and pipe portion to weld on. I can not find anyone who has this piece to sell me. Thanks for your help.

My new cat never came with a flange(universal cat) so I used some Plumber compression fittings( I believe 1/2 inch pipe.) and ran a pipe to the "bell shaped one way valve".
At that location(since it is not a real heated environment anymore) you can just attach the pipe with a small chunk of hose between the pipe and the valve, then use the other Manufactured hose to attach the whole apparatus to the manifold.

split air

Thats a good idea. I will go with the flange idea just incase the stock cat ever has to go back on. I want all the stock locations for everything to stay in tact.

I had something with that flange on it but at this moment it's location is "rummage 3 weeks..OH there it is" type of thing.
I'm in and out of the shed and garage all week so IF I find it I can let ya know.
pay shipping it's yours.

I too like to retain stock components, but some aftermarket cats have an open tube which means there
is no flange and the connection is made with a heavy rubber hose/clamps.
As I have flip flopped between the Bonez hi-flow cat and the OEM cat, I've cut the flange section out making
installation easier.
In fact, just last Saturday reinstalled the factory OEM cat with the hose and clamps. Just a thought.

not sure why you guys are trying to talk him out of doing it the proper way....

never found a hose that could withstand the heat of being right next to the cat long term and extending the tube from the cat would require he do the same for whatever he uses there in place of the cat.

Actually the proper way is just to replace the split air pipe. Not trying to talk him out of the his ideal
solution, just suggesting another solution he may have not have thought of, and the consequences down the
line when using the flange.

The Bonez cat has no flange and comes with a thick walled heavy hose @ 6" long that's been on the car now for
15+ years and still no problem, just as flexible as day 1 when it was installed.
To go even farther, I removed the factory studs on the OEM converter and use bolts as I can just drop one
converter and install the other without the need for moving the Y pipe.

Also having and keeping the flange would require a converter that comes with said flange. At least with the hose
any converter can be used.

Not a mandate, just a suggestion.

I went up to the back garage to try and find the flange as when I cut the converter
pipe and split air pipe, they were connected, but trying to find them with all the parts
was an effort in futility. I however came across a new Magnaflow converter with the
air pipe flange:
Hole to hole 1.8125" (1 13/16")
Overall lenth 2.5" (2 1/2")
Bolt hole size .3125" (5/16")
Flange width 1.125" (1 1/8")
Pipe diameter in center of flange .375" (3/8") but I'd go .5" (1/2")

Hope this helps
