please help me!
ok i tried this the other night but noby really gave me any answers. i really need some help.
so i started up my car the other day. it was running just fine at first but then i lost alot of power. it wasnt getting up and going like it should. then it started backfiring really loud.
i noticed that one side of my exhaust smelled like fuel. the other smelled normal(exhaust fumes). so i traced the pipe back and noticed that one of the header pipes were glowing red. so off course i turned it off.
what the hell is going on? please help!

rotary engines run very..very hot....so that glowing thing is normal on your exhaust pipe.
Did you check your timing? (you see every time you mess around with the air intake or anything that’s connected to it, you mess the timing up)
when was the last time you did the tune-up?

Since the exaust is seperated, I'd guess you chunked a apex seal. You can do that just idling.
Try swapping LEAD sparkplugs and see if things change. DO NOT buy new ones.
You don't have a catalytic converter I take it. Just the dual exaust.....presilencers and muffleres. They don' t clogg up like a catalytic converter.
If you swap plugs and it still runs ratty........try a spin around the block to see if it clears up any. If not, then pull both lower plugs and have someone spin the engine with the wires off the rest of the plugs. You put your thumb over one lowe hole at a time and see if the pulses are quite different. IF they are, the apex seals have gone kaput.
