PLEASE HELP (grown man begging) sad to see

there has to be someone out there with a stock 13b-re with the stock twins in a fc3s thats running a haltech...PLease (yeah I'm begging) someone please tell me they have maps for the e6x or e6k for this setup!!! If I use series 6 maps how will that run my setup so that I can drive it to the tuner without blowing up my motor ( the tow to the shop is $325 half of what I have to pay to tune it!)??I have a inovative wide band also I would appreciate some direction on how to street tune using that so the time on the dyno is minimal....Please I summon the grand wizard of rx7 to help me!!!! I just want the damn think to start...I'm about 2 days from either selling it or setting it on fire!!!! (hmm maybe buy a fd with that money???) I also posted in the haltech section but no luck there.

Geez... Any good base map should get you to the tuners shop as long as you dont drive aggressively.. As far as street tuning, just have someone sit in the passenger seat and tune while you drive normally, at least thats how we do it. If you are alone you can use the logging function but it might take more time. your motor build may dictate your optimum AFRs for cruise, idle, etc.

So you are telling me it hasnt started yet? Thats the hard part of a Haltech install, once its running its all GRAVY...

not yet

no I haven't started it because I don't have any base maps for it...well I have series 6 maps but i didn't know if I would f things up by using it...the tuner is trying to bamboosal me by saying I can't use any other maps to drive it there because I'm going to mess up the engine...is there a writeup on how to tune I have no idea first car I'm trying it on...I think I read that I can use the wideband to do it.....thanks for the quick response

LOL!!! Its really not that hard. A stock S6 map should start that motor just fine as long as the injectors are stock. Are there any mods? As long as your AFRs stay safe and your timing is zeroed out stock, you should be money for an EASY drive to the tuners.

You could always get AAA and get it towed down there for a lot less if you're worried about blowing the motor.

No real writeup that I know of. A wideband is the main tool I would use, it tells you how much unburned Oxygen remains in the exhaust and then interpolates that into a ratio you use for tuning. Once you understand your target AFRs, timing, and all the associated concepts its all very easy.

its all stock...thats another thing the tuner says I have to use the haltech to control the stock seq twins...but he fails to mention how!!! I guess thats why he wants me to get it there...I'm reading about the maps now in the manual from the link you put up...it seems a little complicated...I guess I need to find out the target AFR so I'm looking fo that info also...I'm searching the site for a quick lesson in theory on tuning...is the AFR to be constant 14 throughout all rpms??? is that the key... when I get started how do I know what the hell I'm doing??? Iguess I won't really know until I actually try it...hope my motor can handle it I now have to find out how to contol the twins...I need a diagram to show me how to connect the sileniods to the haltech and how to program the haltech to controll them...Man I should have just took my chances with the stock T2 motor at least thats plug and play and theres a million maps ready to go with no tweeking...

I have never heard of a Haltech controlling the stock twins in Sequential mode. What model Haltech is it?

*edit* found some info and I am doing some research.

If you are planning on running your car sequential you will need to need to keep are the turbo control solenoid, charge control solenoid, and charge relief solenoid. If you count the solenoids from the firewall forward these are the fifth, sixth and eighth solenoids. You will also need to connect a 12VDC relay (found at your local car audio shop)to one of the PWM outputs and switch that output to 'Dual Intake Valve' This allows you to setup when you want the second turbo comes on and turns off. The relay should be hooked up with pin 30 connected to constant power (12V+ from the battery), pin 85 to a ground, pin 87 to the charge control solenoid (wire 4T [Blue/Black]), pin 87a to the turbo control solenoid (wire 4R [Yellow/Blue]) and the charge relief solenoid (wire 4S [Pink]). The 86 pin is connected to the PWM output. You will need to go under the upper intake manifold and grab the Black/White wires coming off the stock solenoids that you are keeping and ground that/those wires.
