Tired Eyes Easy.....

directly underneath of the head light assemble I think there is a rubber boot over it. Just crank the headlight to whatever position u need them at. I never had sleepy eyes until i took the GXl off the road, now she sits in my yard with tired eyes.

u can take out the retractor fuse, flip the lights up, or down (opposite to whatever posistion theyr'e in now) with the switch inside the car. now take the fuse u pulled out, & very quickly touch it back in its place, & then take it out. the lights will move up, in like 1 inch increments, that is if you can get the fuse to touch & bring it back by hand quick enough.

Sleepy eyes on a 7 are the reason I think we should legalize roadside executions.

This gets repeated every time someone does this "mod", but it needs to be said again here.

Keep in mind that after you do this, the light output from the headlight is significantly reduced. This can obviously cause a problem in nighttime driving especially in the country where you need the light to flood the entire road. If you just pull the retractor fuse and manually set the lights to look broken, you will need to manually raise them every time you drive in the dark. To not do so puts you, your passengers and everyone else on the road in danger. It may also be illegal depending on local law.

Now, for those who are asking where the retractor **** is, just check the manuals.

The Factory Service Manual can be found in the FAQ For FC thread. It contains all this information and more, and is an essential tool for any sort of service work that needs to be performed on these cars.

Additionally, the Haynes service manual for the 1986 thru 1991 RX-7 (both turbo and NA) can be found at most local auto parts stores or purchased from any good bookstore (ISBN number 1 56392 007 7). It is only about $25 and is a great quick reference for things like this. Not only does it contain most of the information in the FSM condensed into an easy to read format, but it includes full wiring diagrams as well.

These manuals will answer 99% of service related questions for the car and if you intend to do your own repair work, you will need at least one of them. Preferably both, since the FSM is a free download.

this is soo funny, advice on **** turning from people all over the country.

I wouldn't think of this as a mod, it's just my way of showing the rx7 is resting right now, I never drove the car like this, are you people serious?????

chaos, those roadside capital punishments should be reserved for front wheel drive cars sporting large sticker kits and glue on scoops with clear everythinga nd giant wings,,,,,haha hondas are sooo funny......

Its still fun rippin' on them.

Personally, I would never change the look of the headlights the way they are... They add a LOT of character to the car. If you change it, you might as well get another car. On the other hand, I feel that as long as somebody likes their car... go for it. As long as it isn't a GTUs or 10AE... If you sleepy eye one of those, I will jump through your computer screen and kill you where you stand.
