pipe above intake???

pipe above intake???
does anybody know where the pipe above the intake manifold is suppose to lead to and what it does??? its the one right above it... it stops twards the driver side but continues down passenger side???

Please tell me you're not talking about the intercooler piping...

If not I'll need more info or a picture. What model/year is your car?

Sounds like it? Is it a black rubber piece? A picture would help though.
