I plan on doing this, but I would like to utilize a heim joint instead of the bolt you see holding the two pieces together. If done correctly, it would mean my pinion angle would be spot on. Yeah yeah I know what you're thinking... "its allready good from the factory, you dont need that!" I just ruined my second rear u-joint. If you're gonna do something, go overboard!

been there done that lol.
it kinda a secret lol. i do suggest you you the bolt if it is at the right angle you can loosen it set you camber ( if you using the dog bone adjuster) then tighten it back up other wise your stuck where you welded it. and i agree blowing countless u joints sucks lol.

have done a variation of this using an old trailing arm ( from an rx2 ) with the eye bush to keep it all rubber bonded
.. only good for those with single exhaust systems as it will clash with most twin systems
