pilot bearing
i'm removing the pilot bearing, the bearing was totally destroyed, but i've removed all i can, but the bearing isn't flush with the crank shaft. can any one help me plz?!

what exactly do you mean?
my guess is that you pulled the guts out of the bearing but the outer race is still in there?
you can try to make a puller tool to get it out, but that usually doesnt work.
probably you will have to cut it out with a dremel or something like that.

I made a puller from a long bolt whose head just fit through the bearing.
Then I cut a wood peg to hold it off center & catch the outer race.
A short piece of pipe, a large flat washer, & a nut completed the jig.
After repositioning a few times it came out.

just make sure the outer race comes out...should be sompletely flat in there when you're done...the right size socket and a hammer should make pressing it in easy. Be easy on the seal, however, b/c they bend easy...I found out the hard way...

honestly i'm not doing the work my self, because of the issue of time (but i think i could do it a hell of alot faster than they can now) but they decided to drill the bearing out
also i'm replacing a bearing
