Pictures of Koyo radiator and e-fan install
Here's pics of my radiator install. Finished it last month, but I get to play with my mom's new digital camera while I teach her how to use it (I need to buy my own, now that I've used it, I can't go back).
I'm using a Koyo raditato, Perma-Cool 16" e-fan, Perma-Cool e-fan controls, and a Vintage Air fan shroud. Install was pretty straightforward. I had to remove the shroud once, because I din't mold it enough to leave room for the rad hose.
Notice the fan is fused at stock fuse block.
Here's the brass cross that holds the sensors for the temp switch and temp sensor for my VDO water temp gauge.

What did the Perma Cool and control cost you?
Also do you know the model number and cost for the Vantage Air shroud?
Ifr it's reasonably priced I'll buy it instead of fabbing my own shroud out of aluminum.
I have a shitty Imperial 16 in efan but had to revert to my stocker. I really don't want to put that shroud back in.

I bought the fan and controls from Jeg's. Summit had the controls on back order, and I didn't want to wait (even though they ended up sitting in the garage for a couple of months). The fan was $90 and the controls were $60. The sensor is threaded which added $10. They're only $50 if you get the probe type sensor.
The shroud is part number 32033-VFF from Vintage Air. The price was more than I wanted to pay, but I was already on the phone with them and wanted something slightly different anyway. Oh yeah, it was $98 plus shipping.
A few people on the forum have used that shroud. It covers the core just about perfectly (maybe 1/4" max on each side isn't covered, top and bottom - perfect). A little molding was necessary with the heat gun for clearance for the rad hoses. As you can see from the first pic, it's deeper on the driver's side than the passenger side. The shroud is turned on it's side because it's made to fit old school hot rods, which have taller radiators.
This seems a little lengthy, but I like to include lots of details. Hope that all helps. I was very happy with how it turned out. Looks really great.

your rad looks good, i just want to know if you noticed a good hp gain with the way you have the intake set up, meen not having a box set up around it, in my engine bay it is so hot it seems it would defeat the purpose, i would just like to know

Both my FC's were over heating in the summer.
Hopefully my Koyo will keep my new engine nice and cool. Maybe I'll even be able to use the AC!
Hmm.
I'll probably go with the Permacool and either Fiberglass a shroud or rivet together a one in metal.
The koyo is sitting in my garage waiting to be dropped in so I can make a template now. Maybe I'll sell them.

As for Koyo on an N/A being overkill, well, could be. I never had any overheating issues with the stock rad, but it was finally leaking. The price was pretty good and if I choose to do track days in the future (never had problems at teh autocross either), I shouldn't have to worry about any overheating. And I do live in Florida, so it stays pretty warm.

i was wondering about the filter cause i have about the same setup and i did not notice anything either, but i am talking to a guy that will weld me a custom air box with a ram air for only 40 bucks, and it has a plate on top to keep out the hot air, thank just wanted to know if i was the only one or not,,,thanks alot man

Is this a good spot for a sensor??? Im looking to find a spot for my water temp gauge, but I don't think im ready to pull the water pump off yet. Im hoping I might be able to do the same for my TII.
Not trying to jack your thread, ive just never seen an install right there for a sensor... The setup looks real nice though, I might do the same thing one day.

It looks by the lack of responses no one has tried things this way... Why did you tap your sensors there if I may ask?
Im not too familar with where the coolant there is flowing from or to, which is why im wondering how good of a location it is.

It is located before the thermostat, and it is the hose that runs from the rear housing to the TB. Works well, IMO.
