Pictures of Engine Progress

I have started to reassemble the engine to get an idea of what it is going to look like. So far, so good. I am getting excited about the Turbo world of RX7s.

I have never done this type of work and has become somewhat challenging, not to mention a little frustrating at times.

All bling - bling was done by Raspyrx7 and the heat coating on the exhaust manifold, turbo hotside, and Racing Beat (RB) 3" inch down pipe (looks huge in person) was done at AMR-Coatings in TN.

The engine rebuild, mounting of RB lightened steel flywheel, RB main pulley, and ACT street/strip clutch set was done by BDC (looks awesome).

Thnax

Ebay

I purchased on Ebay for $409 which included shipping from Cali.

I thought it was reasonably priced.

He said that turbo was brand new. Thats pretty damn good for a new turbo.
Great work by the way, althouh i would have picked a diffrent color for the rotor housing just to keep it interesting.
Who did you say did the work?

It's in!!! Yeah!!!

I finally go the engine back in. I have installed the RB oil cooler lines and have begin to plumb the AN/SS fuel lines.

My engine appears to be a little cockeyed. I have already attached the tranny mount and drive shaft (both ends). I understand this is normal, but it looks weird.

Thanx

Michael

Very nice. I am in the process of cleaning out my engine bay while the motor is out. If mine looks even half as good as that I will be happy. Great Job

Slow, but steady!!!

Here are a couple of pics of parts that I had powdercoated by the master himself, Raspyrx7. Yes, I had my brake lines and hood latch powdercoated, as well as numerous of other parts.

Here are a couple of updated pictures of my Earls SS / AN fuel setup. I have one more 90 degree (in transit) to hook up and it will be done, then onto the RP competition fuel pump. I have mounted two guages for now (later one 1/8 npt will be used for an electric fuel guage mounted in the interior). I had to redesign it a couple of times as I was going along. WhenI bougt my SX FPR I did not notice there was not a 1/8 NPT for a fuel guage. Oh well!!!

Here is a pic of the mounted Greddy Vspec FMIC (step 1)

Thanx

Michael
