Pictures of the damage

Here's the pictures of the damage the guy did to my parked car I'm either gonna be fucked my michigan insurance, or they're going to pay for it. If anyone has ANY ideas as to what I can do, please let me know. Is it fixable?

Under Michigan auto insurance law, your no-fault insurance does not pay for repairs to your car if it is damaged in an accident. If your car is properly parked and hit by another car, the other driver's insurance will pay for your repairs.

Except for this situation, the only kinds of auto insurance that pay for repairs to your car are Collision and Comprehensive.

WOOHOO! I'm saved!

I can't believe you even suggested that! YOU ASSRAT! Once they fix everything up, or total it (if they do, I'm swiping everything back out of the car, including my damn rebuilt engine!) I'm parking that bitch in the garage from now on!

Thank God you get your stuff covered by insurance. It sucks to have to drive around a crashed looking RX-7.

Hah, you should see my N/A that I drive, my brother went drifting off the road in it yesterday, and it's been rolled once before. It's all beat up. And yeah, his insurance has to pay for it to be fixed since it was parked. GXL wheels are on the rear cuz I blew out another tire and that was my spare, but it's a 225/65R15, and the others are 205/55, so I just swapped over another to make it even for now.

Damn Sonic that sucks. I got hit in the exact same place as you cept mine was 10 times worse. That rear 1/4 is like 1500 to replace if you cut and weld a new one back on with paint so if you have collision and have at least a 1k deductible you should be fine. But thats still what you have to pay on your part so find out what your deductible is.
You know this is a perfect example for all you FC owners out there, GET COLLISION INSURANCE. If you dont then your fucked plain and simple. And dont let anyone tell you its not worth it on these cars cuz we all know none of us want to lose our precious FC's!!

If you have coverage (comprehensive & PD), MI no fault does cover your damages, you can sue for the deductable. Makes life a whole lot less complicated.

There are two other things to look at in your policy. Some insurers waive the deductable if the person who hit your car is covered by the same insurance company.
Second, because it was a parked car, there may also be some state regs that exempt you from any responsibility and also results in the waiver of any deductable.

My MI AAA policy covers the first.

Yeah, I won't even have to pay a deductible, considering it was parked, and his insurance has to pay for it, not mine. So things should be allll good. I just hope they don't **** it all up in the process

Well, finally got the insurance claim 'started', or so I'm told. So far they copied the police report, took some info about my car, and sent it off to state farm, and said i'll get a call in a few days with what to do. They asked me to have it get appraised, and then when I said it can't be moved they told me to tow it! And i'm like, uhm, are you gonna pay for it? And they told me I had to pay for it! So I called a different place, and now they're gonna find out if it can be 'authorized' to be towed.

Well, I can't be too mean since he had a stroke (or at least, that's what the police report says) At first they tried to screw me over saying that I had to contact my own insurance agency and that I had to have collision coverage, but I reminded them politely that it was properly parked and under michigan law it's *THEIR* responsibility, they sure did change their tone and get things moving a bit quicker after that

A stroke? More like he was stroking it!

That sucks. Hope you get it straight again.

Haha, something or other, but he wrecked a Ford F150 two blocks down from my car, hit that one 4 times, finally got around it, made it up the street two blocks and smacked mine
