OK I had to post that picture to.
And with the even legths I couldn't get them even without an assortment of funcky bends, and I seriously dought that it will make little if any difference, to put the extra 6 inches of pipe onto the passengers side muffler. But if it will make a huge difference then I will extend it.

I am more worried about my fue lines burning, than I am the exhaust flames.
And the sound deadiner under the car, would take some serious tourching to catch it on fire.
But what the hell tommorrow I will take a lighter out there and see if that stuff will burn. And I don't mean the gas tank, I mean the tar coating on the underside of the car.
And also if it makes you guys feel any better I don't have a death wish
, and I am going to heat wrap the whole exhaust, so it won't melt the carpet in my car.

i have a bad feeling about this. dude i'd just extend those pipes and make them the same length (as evil aviator said) and have then turn down at the BACK of the car. i think it would look just as cool.
you should go to the track and buy some 110 octane...
Why would 110 octane make any difference from 87, 89, or 92.
And if it makes everyone happy I am probably going to end up putting two more mufflers on the back of the car were the original mufflers were. So that it won't be so loud.

Man Corey is taking a lot of **** for his muff job. I want you to know that it looks great man. What kind of mufflers are you going to be putting on the rear? IF you put muffs on the rear I unfortunately suggest that you put something chambered.......unless you really believe that your spintech muffs are going to hold up.
I and a couple other people on the board have had rough times with mufflers and the couple probs that I have run in to is .....the 2000 degree heat in that header. And the second biggest problem is the backfiring..... I literally blew a 4 inch diameter hole in the top of an Edelbrock RPM muffler that quickly shredded the entire thing. I have also blown many holes in Moroso Spiral baffled mufflers which also blew welds loose. (*sniff* That Moroso muffler opened up my exhaust and made serious power RIP*sniff*)
So I implore you to either ....take it easy on downshifts to prevent backfire or get a chambered muffler at the end of the exhaust so that backfiring happens in the chambered muff (if it happens at all) instead of the spintech.
-Lee
PS- Ironically after all my muffler problems the most durable muffler that I have now is a straight through Ractive muffler with fiberglass packing that I got for free from a buddy... Straight through piping from the header back to that muffler. Sounds nice and quiet when I need it to be and gets loud as a fighter jet on takeoff when I NEED IT TO BEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! NA HOEEEEEEEE!
EDIT * I still give it 5 days

Mazdaspeed you are going to have to come up here and listen to this thing and tell me if it is louder than RX-7imprezra's, was. And also what happened to RX-7imprezra, I figured he would have posted about this.
And also for the rest of the people saying that it will pop my mufflers in 5 days, if someone halls my car to an autocross track (local) I will put money on it that it will run all day with me pushing my car as hard as I can!!! And that is flames and all

Yeah I know, but I still want to take it to the track, and seeing as how I have no tags, and I would get a ton of tickets for disturbing the peice driving there. I would rather have someone hall it. Well my step dad could hall it, hey maybe I could drag it to the track some day.
And what do you mean by him???

the higher the octane, the later it burns (more fire coming out your exhaust)
Thanks you, and everyone else that supports it, even though I will have to refine it in a little while.
EDIT: and if anyone wants to buy it, the exhaust from teh RB road race header back is for sale.

Justin(RX7impreza) is out of town, until this weekend. He blew another edelbrock on the way down to florida, so I think hes at 4 or 5(dont know if hes blown the other one yet too...)
Maybe Ill come up there when my new exhaust is finished, and I get the new motor built and in. But thats goign to be a while, I have no free time as it is...

Well if I sell this set of Aero Speed mufflers that I have, I will build another one just like it, but quiter.
And why does Justin keep buying those crappy mufflers if they keep breaking, instead of getting a new one under waranty every time why doesn't he just ask for a refund, and buy a different kind.

For those who don't know, the Spintech mufflers are all hand welded 304 stainless steel. Why would that melt or blow out any faster than the thin stock mild steel pipes? We aren't talking about those weak Edlebrock mufflers that people like to use.
A quick backfire (flames included) isn't going to catch anything on fire that fast under the car except maybe dried grass. Not too much of that on the street. If he has an oil leak that has soaked the underside of the car there may be room for worry.
Oh yeah for whoever mentioned it. It's not CO2 that you really need to worry about. It's CO.

Right on

EDIT: and my car leaks very little, if any oil.
