Picture of the backseats up?

this is bothering me, anyone got a picture of the seats actually up? everyone I see of the backseat has them down, folded and I never have seen them out and ready to sit in, it looks odd.. IDK or I could wait to see them myself when I go to pick up my first RX7 (hopefully)

but its just bothering me, from what I have seen it looks like the back seat could be very uncomfortable lol

im not sure the rear seats even fold down.
I think what your talking about is the models that have the 2 storage bins instead of a rear seat. they look flat with two squares that are actually storage bins.
search for something liek 2+2 or rear seat and im sure youll find some
pictures of them

How about looking in the 2nd gen picture thread. There are plenty of 2+2's with the back seats up.

Au contraire, my fellow RXer... ('87 TII)

BTW, I really like having the back seat, but not for anybody over 7 years old to sit in. If your butt is more than about 9 inches wide and/or your legs are over 24 inches, there's no way you're sitting in that seat for any amount of time.
That said, it makes carrying groceries, luggage etc in the back SO much better. As you can see in the pic, the back becomes a very large bin.

My TII had the bins, but I bought a parts car with leather upholstered jump seat, so I moved the whole set over and improved my daily driver.

on my 2nd FC i had them , and you can fit a 6 pack of beer right in the middle of the seats... mine were not leather tho.
the only girls that fit there would be a nice smal jdm chick !!!

Originally, my TII did not have the jump seat. I swapped the entire interior from a wrecked GXL I found for cheap

I dont think the seats were an option on the GTUs unless it was a dealer option or something.

IMO, the bins are the best option. My car actually came with nothing back there, but I swapped in bins last year. They are very helpful. You can keep your coolant, oil, rags, socket set, etc back there and out of view. They also make a perfect place to hold beer. It won't move around and its out of site if you get pulled over.

Booster Seats and my 12 year brother fit back there. And with the seats folded down, they're almost as effective as the bins, just not as deep. I personally like them :')

(As of now, I've got the other rear seatbelt and the middle console is maroon. And they aren't faded, its the light)

the backseats and bins fit in the same location, so you can't have both at the same time

Don't really have my seats up, I just leave them down... I'd rather have a flat backing than a 'partial seat' back behind me.... :P

I leave them down... seats are too small. What's the point?

I have back seats and leave them folded down, pretty useless they are. If I do drive someone around in the back i get them to put their feet up so they're legs are lying across it, more comfy for them.

When folded down very good to store a six pack and keep them cold cos of all the padding, etc.

BTW I have a JDM turbo model, standard with backseats.
