because the hood is what seperates the men from the boys.
j/k! The hood is beautiful. And it doesnt function like you think, the air is forced in through the cowl and then exhausted out the front of the scoop. It might even drop the hood temps a bit.

Sorry, but other than the upper intake manifold, I'm not seeing where you'd identify that as a 13B-REW. And even so, it seems to me that'd be a S4 with a swap, over a S6. I mean, why would Mazda DOWNGRADE their trim package and nose?

He means S6 engine in a TII.
To my knowledge you can only put the Upper and Lower Intake Mani's on S5 engines, and not on S4's. So it'd either have to be
A) A 13B-REW
B) An S5 13BT w/ REW upper and lower intake mani's.
The S5 is more alike internally to the S6 engine, than it is to is 13BT brother, the S4.

Hey you TII guys that hood sucks. Well not really sucks but its overrated. I have a 90 TII and the hood is the first part to go. I did a vent on an aluminun N/A and I noticed a HUGE diffrence in cooling temps. Ever notice Option videos, most of the cars have vented hoods not scoops. Gonna pic up a alum. NA tomorrow, straight trade. Who cares about extra drag anyways?

Hard to say initially from those pics...
The dead give away on an FD UIM retrofit is the ACV on the outside of the LIM - the stock FD ACV is on the INSIDE of the LIM.
The thermostat housing is all FC - this makes me suspect it's just an FD UIM retrofit.  The stock water pump housing uses that weird AST section that looks nothing like an FC thermostat housing design.
