Node....I am looking into the Racing Beat exhaust, but do you know what the diameter on the piping is, before and after the Y? I hear that it's a good idea to install that FCD as well as a fuel pump before upgrading the exhuast system.
3in. down pipe to 3in. presilencer the the y-pipe starts out 3 in. then splits to 2 1/8 i believe. its a good system just looks out dated

yup you would need and fcd and pump at least! to be safe.

oh yeah congrats on the TII--she is purty!!!!

Last I heard the RB complete system wasn't being made any more, but here's the vitals...
The Turbo II High Performance Exhaust system incorporates a 3.15-inch (80mm) down pipe from the turbo outlet that mates to a presilencer section. From the head of the Y-pipe two 2.125-inch pipes extend to the ceramic wool-packed 409-stainless steel rear main mufflers.
It's what I have on mine.

Is the Racing Beat full exhaust system stainless steel or what?

Also, who else manufactures 3" downpipes for the FC, just to compare make and price.

Oh yeah...we just finished installing a Pivot Headlight controoler on my friend's 240sx...that thing's pretty sweet. Has a built in AIT (Air Intake Temp) meter too.

Hey,
Congratulations on the new car. I have the racing beat system on mine and i strongly reccomend it, the fit and finish is awesome. It looks awesome, and sounds even better. You're welcome to come take a look at mine any time you'd like too, but you cant hear it . FCD is a must, and the fuel pump isnt a bad idea, cheap insurance for very expensive repairs. Be sure and buy lots and lots of gauges first off. A/F, Boost, and EGT are all good to have. Autometer is good ( what I have), but you get what you pay for as far as accuracy is concerned. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or if ya need any help working on the rex.

airbox

there is a little difference in 91 and 90s airbox. i have a 91 FC and the airbox does not have a sticker on it. insted, the word "MAZDA" is part of the cover, umm.... how to explain this better. it was molded into the airbox cover! yea thats it.... heheh. i dont think there is any difference in the engine tho.

by the way, ur car looks soooooo sexy! i have the same one but its N/A..... u know of anyone selling a white TII? hahaha.. congrats on the car!

Also the 1990 engine main pullys dont have a Eccentric bolt LOCK plate.

The 1991 does.

turbos might be different though.

I didn't think these were FSM's, but instead factory workshop Manual's. I was under the impression they were different.
If so, how can Racing \beat carry the same thing for near twice the price?

Racing Beat Turbo II exhaust still exists!! Its ALL stainless now (befor mild steel) and it comes with polished cans (mufflers) and tips. The rest of the exhaust is painted black. It has the same dia. tubing and all dimensions remain same. I love it and will be getting one .

No, the 91 airbox is black plastic. I own a 91, so I could SEND you my air box as proof. Also, 91 TII's don't say Turbo II on the side of the car.

They have pretty much whatever mazda had left over, some have stickers, some don't, but it doesn't mean it's not stock.
