Pics of my car! I just painted her, and this is the first unveiling!
Here's some pics of the car, i've resized them to be (slightly) more 56k friendly..
I did all of the work myself, this is my first paint job. The door jams and engine bays are done, also, but i didn't take any pics of them right now. more pictures are availible @ http://www.killermonks.com/rx7/ although these are not sorted or resized..
what's your opinion?
PS - Ignore the spots on the hood, that's getting redone, as soon as i get my body kit in.
PPS - no, i don't like a body kit better than the stock seven bumpers, however, mine will not work, and you can't patch bumpers with fiberglass and body putty, i tried

thanks Spade! I have access to a vinyl cutting machine, so all of it was done with a vinyl mask.. I sprayed the entire car with the gloss black basecoat, then applied the mask, then sprayed my green. The green was pure green metalflake, i got in a plastic container, mixed in with clear coat.. I did about three coats of that, then put two coats of clear on it. If you want to do something similar, drop me an email, and i'll send you the file to export to a vinyl cutter

thanks for the compliments guys Yes, it is my first paint job, i've spent a LOT of time on it. Scathcart - yeah... we tried tot remove the mouldings on the front and rear covers, but that didn't work out so well, so they cracked (after i had painted them black), so i don't have them on for the pics, since they're not clearcoated, i'm going to have a body kit shortly, this http://www.shophyperformance.com/store/000702.html one to be specific.. it's as close to stock i can get without having to worry much about bump strip.
remember kids: Don't bother to use large amounts of putty or fiberglass on the bumpers, make them all out of one piece of material!

it was just washed, since it was covered in dust, as it sat in the garage while we put the engine and everything in... that's wyh it's wet, i'll update it with some non-wet pics soon
note: I used mostly fiberglass for all work, over filled it, sanded it down and then puttied for the final job.. i tried to use as little putty as possible... lots of dents and stuff we took out. it was a 200 dollar car! see the original @ http://www.killermonks.com/wonko/rx7side.jpg

Looks pretty nice, I'd give it a thumbs up. I just got my rear bumper cover and door handles back from the body shop yesterday. The rest of the car seemed to look fine, but those parts needed work. Now that they have fresh paint, I'm thinking the rest of the car needs paint too...

Thanks AE_Racer!
Pip - I'm probably going to do the supercharger that i've seen running around here that's after i get the new bumpers in.. oh, and probably a 100 shot nitrous, for fun, because i've always wanted to play with it (do you hear me scathcart? )
