I'm getting my FC painted in a couple weeks and I think i'm going to stay close to the stock maroon color...are there any nice fc's that have that color or close to the maroon color?

I have the Claret Metallic... Sorry no pics but I really like the color with the black body molding & the stock pinstripe. I haven't seen any other ones but the one in the previous links. My hood is oxidized & the sunroof is bubbling, but its the stock paint. I would say the Claret Metallic is/was an awesome color for the FC. I wonder how many were made in that color? BTW I have an '88 SE/NA.

It was only offered in '88. I used to have one but it is now in the great rotary junkyard in the sky. I miss that color. I did the S5 body updates and had everything painted to match. That with my 3rd gen rims and that car was beautiful.

 

Yep - my car is the OEM claret mica color with an S5 front bumper (trim painted flta black to match S4 moldings) and mazdaspeed front lip. It's a really really nice color and when my car gets re-painted it's gonna be the same (with color matched moldings). The car does look great in pics but there are a few dings and nasty touchup marks mostly from the previous owner (I've had the car since '97).

 

I must say, thats an awesome color. When people say maroon for most cars, i have to hold onto something, expectring it not to be so great. But daaaamn.

 

How about this color?
