Talking PICS!!! how did you lower your car? coilovers, suspension, and springs?

I have a 87 N/A and I am looking to slam it. Just wondering the cheapest and most efficent way to drop it. I don't want to lose a lot of performance, but at the same time I don't want to spend a ton of money on it. I was just wondering what people on here suggested as far as lowering and POST pics. It would be soooo helpful! Thanks

By the way, I think someone on here posted this was "furbs" car. Well I think it looks absolutely amazing and I was looking to go just about as low. Thanks!

awesome. Do you have pictures? I won't really mind rolling the fenders a little, but I don't want to do a huge mod. I have a professional body man who will do whatever work I need so thats not a big deal. I just want the slammed look for sort of a cheap, but still want a comfortable ride.

I have BC coilovers now.

I had Racing Beat springs and Tokico HP struts before. They were great, a very good street setup.
They were basically the same height as pictured.

Honestly that's asking a lot. The general rule is the lower you go, the harsher the ride as you have less room for spring travel so the sprngs will have to be stiffer. If you just want a "mild" drop then install a set of RB or Eibach springs for a few hundred dollars. That will keep the ride relatively compliant and lower it about 1.5 inches. If that's not low enough, then you are into coilovers, which is really how to "slam" a car. They are not exceedingly cheap, nor are the exceedingly comfortable (depends on roads I suppose)! You need to decide what is most important to you: Your Money, Low Ride Height or Comfortable ride - you wont get to keep all 3. From what I see in this thread, you'll end up in the market for used coilovers.

oh man those dont go together lmao
you gotta pay to play dude.

$800 or so should get you some megan coilovers which is the least expensive coilover out there. I have em they are decent. Came with my car and im satisfied with them for now, I probably wont need anything higher for what im planing anyways.

Coilovers all the way, make sure you get some that are ride height adjustable via bottom mount and not just spring porches. That is the only correct way to lower it since it doesnt alter the shock travel. Shorter springs etc just compress the struts/shocks all the time, which typically probably isnt too good in the long run.
