pics - hood scoop copies - for you NA guys

I spotted this on ebay and though it's a great idea. For those NA guys who don't want to purchase a full TII style fiberglass or carbon fiber hood from www.fc3s.org , this might be what you need.

I've invited the Canadian seller to stop by and post some additional details. Hopefully he'll provide some better looking pictures as well.

Probably not, but I'm assuming you'd want the air intake

I guess this way you could put it directly in the center like he did.
Personally, I kinda like the offset.

from the pic's above, the red car is an fb. but it seems that could be put on any car w/ a little fabrication. In my opinion your better off buying a full hood and not an "accessory".

It looks like the CPracing.ca scoop, is it?

If so, it is fiberglass and has to be cut and feathered in - a ton of work.

It's like press-on nails for your hood. So you have to cut a hole in your current hood for the thing to take in air, or else it's just cosmetic. I'd rather get a new hood than cut a hole in my current hood, and sticking on a nonfunctioning scoop seems dumb to me. Plus, animals would want to live there! :P

From this pic he e-mailed me, it looks like he just attached it, used bodyfill, and paint. That shouldn't be too much work. Heck you could probably rivit it on and make it look good.

I guess if you have the time to do it, it's cheaper for you. Otherwise, buy a whole hood from fc3s.org

Here's their website.
