PICS haltech install complete running smooth pics

well i got the car started after troubble shooting a no spark problem
it runs better then i had thought it would.
it idles at an almost perfict 1000 rpm, i still need to do some more adjustments and get it down to 900 and start tuning for boost.
the BNR stage 4 wants to spool up much faster with out the MAF
i will take some more pics of the ecu and mounting soon
enjoy

Planning on moving the air filter by chance? Directly under the radiator hose doesn't seem like the best idea.

instead of buying a haltech gauge from australia, buy a innovate motorsports one.

im pretty sure (99.9%) haltech is just reselling the innovate LC-1 as a "haltech wideband controller" it looks EXACTLY the same to me. althoug they are using the bosch 6066 sensor, which is the LSU4, instead of LSU4.2. the 4.0 responds faster.

i have a haltech e8 as well, and i bought the haltech wideband controller mainly because haltech will support it (i live in australia). whereas innovate will be hard to deal with as its a US company.

i have bought an XD-1 gauge for my controller (all wideband sensor outputs are 0-5V) and its on the way.

it has a numerical readout, led bar graph (the colors for every bar are fully programmable R=, B=, G=) and it can also accept inputs for electric temp/pressure sensors and show them as well, and it has an alarm for input discrepancies. it has a button on it that can be used as a switch for a haltech input as well.

you program it on PC. and its .75" thick.

He is showing us a picture Haltech's BRAND NEW wideband controler. There is no display it just outputs voltage to the ECU for datalogging.

the voltage reading gives you a perfict A/F ratio you just need to know what the voltage represents
o to 5 volt 14.7 to 1 is 2.5 volts
low voltage lean
high voltage rich
same with a 0 to 1 volt o2 sensor, you can tune your car no problem of your stcok sensor you just need a lab scope too read the voltage in real time

Tell me more about your tapping for the intake temp sensor.

I ended up using the standard 14MM tap....which was non tappering like NTP does. As a result it leaks bad....

Wondering what tap you used and does it leak?

Looks like you did a great job on that TPS bracket! Very clean...I like!

all the new haltech sensors come with 3/8 pipe thread for both coolant and air which is nice because it seals much better, but i didnt like the fact that the 3/8 pipe thread is so larg and you also have to buy a 37/64 drill bit which you can only get at specialty tool shops and it was also like 30 bux.
and the 3/8 sensors are pretty damn big so you have to be careful when tapping
it does not leak at all

Well, isn't that forking nice Yeah , I had to tap 14MM into my Greddy elbow...it dosen't seal at all.

That is good to hear they are using NPT. Any thoughts if your intake temp sensor is the same as mine...the only thing being different is the thread size?

3/8 pipe is roughly 100 thousands bigger so you should be fine
you will need a 37/64th drill bit expect to pay about 30 bux for that
