hey guys, for those of you interested. I suggest to ask www.leatherseats.com for the covers. it should come to around $400 for the 2 front seats. I'm assuming on that price because the prices for 4 door cars (extra rear seats) came out to $500-$600.

I remember in the Maxima board, that a bunch of people got the covers from this place and loved it. nobody complanied that I heard of.
They also set up group deals and knocked the price further down.

I'm not related to leatherseats in anyway, but it is an option.

maybe if you guys show enough interest they'll make the covers

I checked, it says pricing is $579.
I'm sure that price can be knoked down to $450 with enough people and they might even do the shift boots and door panels.

it's an idea.

well i am
still waiting for the covers and am gettin quite impatient. he has explained some probs with shipping as an excuse. but says they are finished and he is just waiting for them to arrive.

about a week ago i went to work and saw my cars twin sister, black on black 89 vert. i soon found out it was my new bosses car. hes had it for 5 years. so i ask him if hes dealt with osa and he explains he bought a switch from them once and it was bad and money was not replaced. he also reffered to osa as theives. i figured that the used parts hed sell were skeptical, but i hoped that he being a middle man for a specialty shop would leave no room for scamming. im now beginning to have second thoughts. anyways ill hang in a bit longer then cancel the credit card payment if nothing happens.

OSA Sucks! They are thieves!

I did a write up on them a couple of years ago .... I'll try and find it .... I think I have it saved somewhere ....

Basically I had a 86 300ZX towed there for a engine change and they never changed the engine

You should have mentioned that the RX-7 Club board is waiting for info as well and the promptness and quality that they show you will reflect your on-line report of the company and seat covers to thousands of people.

i mentioned to the owner that i was going to advertise a little for him because i knew this was a hot item (was hoping for a discount by doing this and it worked) mind you i did all of this before i heard the many horror stories about the guy.

on to the real business:

after waiting soo long i cancelled the payment on the credit card for my safety and told osa i wanted to speak with the actuall manufacturers of the seat covers. i got the phone number and its a place in bogota colombia, i guess this makes up a little for his shipping reason as to why it took so long. i did this last week. 2 days ago i recieved a call from osa saying the seat covers were finally here in miami, thank god, finally. so on thursday ( in about 9 hours) i will go down to osa and pick em up. then once i get to work on installing them i will let everyone know exactly how i feel.

its about time cuz i took my other denim covers off weeks ago and im tired of riding around looking ratty.

i do have a concern about the left side of my drivers seat the butt part it is a little saggy on that side. anyone know how to repair before i put the new skins on?

thx bauer

My left side of the seat does the same thing. Part of the metal structure shaping the bolster went thru the foam padding. I talked to an upholstery guy and he said pull that side of the seat cover and padding away from the base. Line the underside of the padding with burlap, following the original foam contour, and using some good contact adhesive. That will bring back the original shape, assuming most of the padding is still there, and prevent the metal from pushing thru again.

I just called OSA and spoke with Jose. He said that they are all special order and they take 4-6 weeks to get them.

The price has gone up as well, they are no longer $350, but now $450.

I asked about payment. They said that they take a $100 deposit when you order, and when they come in, you pay the rest.

I'm still tempted to do this, but I was wanting to get the seat covers by the end of the month for the Hot Import Nights show... oh well.

DITTO...... My Vette skins were under 400, for leather, 280 for vinyl, which seems more durable and does not get wrinkles and wearing like leather..

i just wanted to post a quick update on my osa covers for everyone......if you were in se fla on thursday you would have heard that traffic on the h ways was fucked and i didnt feel like dealing with it, so they are being shipped to me. should be here friday ups. i checked tracking numbers and everything seems to be in order but i wont feel good about it until they touch my hands!

the price increase makes me feel better, not only because i got em 100 bucks cheaper, but also because it gives credibility to the reasons osa gave me as to why it took so long. all the bad stories put me a LITTLE ON EDGE about this purchase and didnt know whether or not to beleive what they were telling me. but so far everything is coming together (as far as their stories) ex. the lady told me a few days ago when i called that they were not making money off the order that they sent out (i guess because the shipping went awry for them from colombia) so, like i said, the price increase adds a little credibilty to their story. i really hope to be able to give an outstanding business reference to osa about this purchase, well see on friday.

again i will post as soon as i get one in, but i dont have immedaite access to a digital camera, or any camera for that matter. if there is anyone near me in sunrise who would like to check out, let me know ill give you directions and you can give your opinion to the board. i understand peoples urgency and interest in the seats, cuz mine are shot and it sucks bad, i also understand there is some scamming going on on this board sometimes, and nobody knows me from adam, or my credibility, but there are some on this board that can be trusted by experience, so im hoping a reputable poster can be the one to come check out and give the report as well as mine. it helps me to build a good reputation as well, i believe in karma, so it would be good karma for me to help out, cuz i know ill need help in the future with my 12 year old car. ive already got a good grocery list of little knick knack items i need to make my baby perfect.

anyways wish me luck and ill update soon.
