Just get new housings or good condition used one. The iron might as well replace. Did the motor blow? looks to be gouges in the housings.

that part that broke off looks like its the hole where the alternator mounts. i'd jb weld it back if your tight on money. imo

has far as i know its got 220000 miles on it and the front rotor lost compression and the rear still ahd good compression when i took it apart. the housing in the pick was originally thought to be bad corner seals but when i pulled the rotor the apex seals were broken ..i was hoping it could be saved cause im on a small budget and just want to get her running..

but mostly cause i live in a small town where noone knows what the heck an rx7 engine is and it will be a pain to find good housings and irons

housing I dont have a great eye but to me it looks like a very high mileage housing that would be better replaced

Its really hard to judge housings from a photo.
If you drag you fingernail over the compression surface, does it catch your nail?
The chrome flaking doesnt look too bad from that photo, but if they are gouged from a blown seal, Id scrap em.

As for the iron, used ones are a dime a dozen. Just put a WTB add up or browse a little bit.
