well I was genuinely curious, because everything looked pretty dirty for a 'fresh' rebuild... but 5k is more than I expected, since it seemed like not too long ago you were putting that thing together.

bummer.

Dude,
When did you blow the motor? Was it at the BBZ shootout or after? I love your car man. Looked good at the shootout. Could ya send me a how to on how you did your intake? It was good meeting you at the shootout.
peace,
Charles

Yep it was at the BBZ shootout ....the above is what happens when you try to tune your car with an EGT, A/F Guage, while Drag racing....

Just a question. In that pic of your turbo it looks like there is a crack on the divider, Is there one or am I just seeing things? Was it there before when you ported the smaller side?

there is a small crack yes but I can't even see it in the pic, most S4 turbo manifolds crack over time, and yes it was there before I ported it

Luckily I had bought a spare motor for 100 bucks, tore it apart and it had all 6 apex seals still intack, though barley within spec, so I have 2 good rotor and housing, side house ect. Since There was only 4-5k on the motor, so I'm gonna just replace the 2 apex seals, get a new gasket kit, and reuse the oil seals....

Thanks, but the 2nd times a charm, it was 10 time easier to teardown and pull the engine, I'm making sure my next setup is extra safe, walbro with stock injectors, no mbc, no SAFC, FCD, ported wastegate, max boost I see is 6 psi maybe 8 at the very most...so I'll be extra safe

I mean the plastic underpan under the front of the car. I found when I ran around with out one my engine bay got dirtier a lot faster.
