Pic Request: J-Spec FC Interior

Does anyone have a pic of a right hand drive FC. Looking more for the center dash area where the logicon, stereo, ashtray are.
Thanks

Its because Europe (and Japan) didn't have the same crush standards as the USA.

Most 88-91 US spec cars got a wheel much like the Jspec 89 in the pictures.

Most of the cars sold in Japan are auto trannys (think I remember hearing like 80% in the mid eighties). Don't know if it is still the same.

I wouldn't hold your breath; they're super-rare. 99% of the FC's over here have been imported from Japan, and I've never seen (or heard of anyone who has seen) a single one.

Sunshine, other that the those rare digital HVAC controls, the interiors of Japanese FC's are almost identical to US ones. The instruments are metric, the warning light cluster is a bit different, and trim materials and steering wheels were different, but other than that they're the same.

BTW, HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning.

I'd kill for a digital logicon, but considering the quality of Mazda's electronics in the 80's, I'd be rather wary.

I am sure the only difference is in the front control panel... the main board and amp are probably exactly the same.

It is kind of late, but the logicons you used to be discussing was a model specific one, and it was only equipped with a trim level called "GT-Limited" which happens to my RX.

As you can see it is a climate controll, you just need to set desired temperature on the large rectangular up/down button and you are on the go.

Those GT-Limited were very rare as it was the only level equipped with sunroof w/. ABS, and no JPN Hashiri-ya, do not want that heavy stuff. I luuuve the concept of the sunroof so I did not think of any other trim levels when buying though.....
