Quick question since my main one has been answered. What's the other bracket I have pictured for?

Doh!!

Alright, so my CC hasn't worked since the day I bought this car. I did some troubleshooting and it appeared to be the actuator that was the issue so I replaced it with another used unit and still no luck. recently I came across an ebay auction for a cruise control kit new from mazda that someone had bought to fix the cruise in their '87 Rx-7 and only used the actuator. So, I thought I was getting a sweet deal here, I got all the parts NEW except the actuator for $25.00 incl. shipping. Here's the catch... I just got the parts in and it appears to be S5.

Can I use the S5 switch and S5 computer with my S4 actuator?

Bracket pictured Right is for Cruise Control Actuator
Bracket pictured Left is for Cold Start Assist Reservoir

For future reference the answer to my above question is NO. The S4 and S5 cruise computers have different plugs where you attach them to the wiring harness. They are NOT interchangeable.

So for CC I need (just to be sure):

1. Switch
2. Bracket for holding the actuator to the firewall
3. Actuator
4. Computer
5. Bracket on the throttle body

The one on the right doesn't fit in the holes for the CCA.

One more question (along with the above), are the CC computers interchangeable? I.E. will the TII one work with the N/A actuator or vice versa.

There's 2 different part numbers so I'm just making sure since I have to buy one.

Actuators from S4 to S5 I believe are the same. They are not the same from TII to N/A though.

Cruise computers are both series and model specific. They have different plugs and pinouts from S4 to S5 and the N/A CCU is not interchangeable with the TII CCU unless you swap out the actuator as well.

All the switches are the same for S4's and are not interchangeable with S5. I think there are also different kinds of S5 switches ... something to do with airbags or verts not sure...

These are the required cruise parts for and S4. Should be the same for an S5 except for the cruise switch since there are two kinds... Just make sure you get the parts for your series.

1. Any S4 cruise switch
2. S4 Turbo cruise computer & Turbo cruise actuator OR S4 N/A cruise computer & N/A cruise actuator
3. Clip that goes on the cruis cable where it attaches to the UIM/TB.
4. Clutch and brake switches with rubber bumper/stops.
