If done properly, this is not an issue. The passages are completely blocked, generally with epoxy. There's virtually no movement, and they are in a "cold" area (intake). PPorts are very reliable in general, as long as you're not revving the **** out of them.

Ugh...Bridgeports and carbs are just a bad idea in general. Brings out all the bad points of bridgeporting while minimizing the good points. EFI and bridgeports are a natural combination. High idles, bucking, peaky powrband, hard starting, etc. are things of the past with a nicely tuned EFI system.

i know but i love da old scool way of motorz fat webbers ect but i wouldnt mind a nice clean turbo conversion. mmm....... power

anyway my mum used to have an astina and it was a 91' model and that was injected. at the moment she has a 68' merc and thats injected. ahh bloody efi

With (say) a 2x50mm IDA-style TB you get the looks and sound of a big old Weber, with more power and better drivabilty. Best of both worlds.

how would you fit 2 in there? it'd have to be jammed in next to each other unless you put in side draft ones on top of the block
