Performance Spark Plug wires... worth it?
Performance Spark Plug wires... worth it?
I was looking around and I am doing every little thing I can do get a more complete burn in order to pass emissions. Would getting some high performance RB or Holly spark plug wires help at all. Or are they just a waste of money? What are your thoughts on them?
Well, there are alot of schools of thought here. Some would say the stock plug wires are fine (and I tend to agree) for a stock ignition, and some others swear by Magnecors or Nology. I run the Magnecor, but I also have a Rotary Pro Pak.
If you want my opinion, if your car is stock just get stock wires, you wont see much benefit from performance wires.

Spark plug wires do not help emission unless something was drastically wrong with our old set.
Another way of stating this is...if your old spark plug wire set was fine, replacing them with any other set will not help.
I put money something ELSE is wrong and not your spark plug wires.

Well see thats the thing the car runs great and everything it just runs rich and I def know that. You can smell it. When I got my emissions tested though my tps was messed up are the chances that my tps not functioning properly could have thrown off my emissions enough to fail it. The legal limit is like 30 c0 grams i got 62 c0grams. It has to do with incomplete fuel combustion. Anyone have any ideas on what may do this? I thought about getting a jacobs fc1000 any ideas on if this would help or if its even worth it?
