Performance intake Mod chip

Hi, My friend have a 1990 RX-7, I want to know if anybody heard some good comments or anything about Performance intake Mod for this car.

For the price, 7.99 Sellers on ebay said:Once the resistance mod is installed, the ECU will read that the air coming in through the intake is cold air. This will give you the power that you want for your car.

I'm buy one (for that cheap price), but I just want to know, if someone have already put one to give me a feedback.

I'm not sure where to put this mod, I see a intake plug with the same mod, but in red in my intake, I think I have tu used this plug and put the mod in it.

I really need comments To help me

Other question, does the rear end have a gear like a Chevy 10 bolts differential, can we change the gear ratio??

We have this car since 2 weeks, it's his first RX-7, we have to learn allot of things

- Can you give me some example and price for making some modification to upgrade hP on this car, it's a non-turbo motor. We absolutly dont know what to change or add to make more hp and be more competitive with the car here in my town.

thanks in advance and have a nice day

Stephane

Well from what I understand, that will trick the ecu and tell it to put more fuel in the engine. For an NA, all your going to do is waste gas, thats about it.

If im wrong, it don't matter, from what I've heard on here it does jack **** for an NA, and only a little bit for a TII.

I just bought a Microtech LT8S instead. I'd recommend it to others too. Seems to work well.

those eBay chips just force the car to work harder than it can and destroy reliablity on an already tempermental car

even if you were to gain as much as 5 hp, which you wont, it still wouldnt be worth it because the car is going to be wearing down very fast

From what ive read in other thread this chip fools your comp into thinking its gettign more air and then adds more fuel. This causes a rich condition which actually decreases performance.

actually the chip tricks the ecu into thinking the air comming into the engine is cooler than what it really is advancing the timing and actually increasing performance. This is an ok mod for n/a engines.
