PCV/Still searching for smoke cause

After getting the car started again, I had smoke problems. The car did not smoke in boost, only under deacceleration and when in vacuum. When I start the car up there is no smoke at all, and won't be as long as I let it idle. All this leads me to believe that it's turbo oil seal related.

The turbo is a brand new rebuild from bnr though, so I'm making sure there are no other possibilities. I've already spoken with bryan, he's been workin with me since I got the car started and has offered great customer service.

I did remove the emissions rack when I swapped turbo's. As of right now I have both the nipples that were associated with the PCV system open vented.

This is from Dales write up:

PCV SYSTEM - now we're getting complicated . This is the Positive Crankcase Ventilation System, which is there because the oiling system generates pressure which needs to be bled off - it can't be a sealed system. Stock, the system is fed back into the intake, and some residual oil is pulled into the intake, dirtying intercoolers and throttle bodies . On the TurboII, the nipples to be concerned with are just below the oil fill cap, and where the oil fill neck meets the block. The NA's only have the one where the fill neck meets the block (I think). This HAS to be vented - if you cap it up, you will pressurize the crankcase, which can lead to smoking and all kinds of weird problems. Venting it to atmosphere is the easiest solution, but will over time make a mess, as excess oil comes out of the nipple. The right way is to use a catch can that has a filter on it to catch the excess blow-by. Jaz makes a tiny catchcan that works great - Jeg's carries it.
If I'm not running a catchcan, should I plumb a line from the nipple below the oil cap back into the TID; and leave the other nipple near where the fill neck meets the block open vented as dale suggests?

I don't have a problem running the catchcan if it's neccesary, but there isn't much room without relocating the battery or removing my a/c.

I do plan on buying the catch can from jeg's eventually, but I was unaware if leaving both of the nipples open vented would have any adverese affects. My FSM is at home with the car, and school is kicking my ***. Thanks for any help, or other suggestions for the smoke.

Your crankcase is vented at the moment, correct?

Check your sump gasket isn't leaking I had this problem and when I backed off you couldn't see out the back for smoke!!!
A new sump gasket, new oil and no more smoke Don't forget to really clean ALL oil off the sump mounting surface and the sump before putting this all together again. Don't leave the sump stiffeners off otherwise it will leak again.

sump gasket?? Where's that located, on the oil pickup tube?

I"m also having a recent problem of smoking on decel after boosting... the turbo was rebuilt and the problem has come back now 2months later... I have the bottom PCV nip capped and the top one routed to the charcoal filter.

Where exactly is this smoke coming from? If it's from the exhaust, and you've removed the stock PCV system, then it's not a crankcase ventilation problem. Currently any oil vapours are simply being vented out of the open nipples on the engine, and can't get into the exhaust. Connecting these nipples to a catch can (or simply extending the lines under the car) is a good idea, but it won't solve your smoking problem.
