passing emissions test

I'm moving out of the country and into the city so I'll have to pass the sniffer tests now. I have a large port S4 motor with no ACV,EGR, or vac spider. Any chance of passing Tennessee emissions with a converter and smaller secondary ports or will I need the manifold stuff too?

Depends on the style of emmisions you have. If it has 2-speed idle, you should be ok with some work. Make sure the cat is good, and maybe try running an airpump all the time into the cat. Search for j-rats guide to passing emmisions tests. I think it might be archived or in the faqs. I basically involves dumping alcohol into the tank to think it out.
