passenger door wont open when outside handle is pulled
one day i had to gt something out of my 86 s4 n/a...when to the passenger side, unlocked the door, puled the handle....wouldnt open. im thinking that the cable inside the door is worn out... i try and open the door from the inside of the car, and it opens. so i get home, pry off the door panel and move the big cable that goes upward towards the door handle. i close the door, open from the inside by pulling down on the cable...and it opens. so something is not pushing the cable downward to open the door from the handle...anyone have a clue what it is?

it's a broken handle. There is a 'ghetto' fix that is on this forum-do a search.
Also, you can just get a new (old) handle in the For Sale Section. Look for a part out thread. S5 and S4 are interchangable. If you get lucky, you will find your color.
