Which parts for S4 Manual Trans into S5 vert?

Car: ’91 Vert
Trans: Automatic
Engine: N/A - S5 rotors & housings; S4 front/int/rear plates

I have a Manual Trans from an S4 and almost all the parts to put it in.

Questions:
Which Crossmember? S5?
Which Trans Mount? (the Y part) S4?
Are S4 & S5 N/A MT flywheels the same? (e.g. Can I use an S4 MT flywheel?)
What about the counterweight?

Thanks,
~j

mounting bolt holes on the car are teh same, just make sure your mount/crossmember matches your tranny. so you will need a S4 mount. your flywheel needs to match your engine due to counterweighting i believe, so you need an S5 n/a flywheel OR you can get an aftermarket flywheel and just bolt up your current counterweight. The auto driveshaft is shorter also, so you need an n/a m/t driveshaft

You forgot about the transmission mounting brackets. The automatic trans crossmember mounts about 4-5" farther back than the manual. You either need to remove the sheetmetal mounts off a car with a manual trans or fab up a haggard looking peice like many do around here that mounts the manual trans crossmember to the auto body mounts. I personally will only swap using the factory crossmember and mounting brackets. Welding the 2 crossmembers together with some steel looks like a hack job from a mile away.

1) You need the matching crossmember for your trans. Since your trans is an S4 you need the s4 crossmember.

2) The "Y part" needs to correspond to the trans. The s4 and s5 rubber trans mounts are also different part numbers. The auto + manual in the same gen both use the same mounts. I have never compared the S4 to s5 to see what the difference is. You will need the S4 mounts to match the s4 trans and crossmember.

3) The S4 and S5 flywheels are not the same. They have the rear counterweight built in, so you would need an S5 NA flywheel to match your internals. The turbo trans/flywheel uses a different diameter clutch disk (225mm vs 210mm if I recall).
