I AM PARTING OUT MY 1987 MAZDA RX7 TURBO 2 THE BODY IS IN GREAT SHAPE ALONG WITH THE INTERIOR. I thought the Turbo II only came out in 1988 but i could be wrong.

Techncially the production of the US spec and California spec T2 started in early 86 as a 87 model year.

No he doesn't. They where never sold as a 86 model year. 87-91 only.

It might have an 86 build date but run the VIN and see what year it shows.

From the second printing of the 86 sales brochure:


But yes if you check the VIN, there were no USA spec FC3C T2 models built with a "G" in the 10th digit.
