port air solenoid valve w/missing connector, if im not mistaken it opens the valve that pumps fresh air into the exhaust? port air = exhaust port air. fixed by emissions removal procedure! or find a parts car and change it out... that one looks no bueno

You can replace the solenoid with another one. It's the same thing as what's used on the split air solenoid (pictured next to it w/ wire intact). The plunger underneath is different from the split air solenoid, but you can reuse it. The port air solenoid is actually pretty useless anyway, as the majority of port air is controlled by the relief and switching valves (and solenoids). It's so unimportant, Mazda didn't even put it in this diagram from the training manual:

You don't really need to fix it even if you leave the exhaust alone. As I said, it does very little.

I can pass emissions without either solenoid on the ACV functioning. LIke the man said, very little effect has the Port Air solenoid on passing emissions.

Passing emmissons is mostly a function of the Relief and Switching solenoids working with a properly functional ACV and half **** good converter.

Notive the lack of a EGR valve has zip effect on the NOX figures.
