weather guard?? not sure what you mean by that, but it should have a rubber weather strip around the edge, there shouldnt be any gap between the sunroof and roof, the rubber should fill this gap. If the weather strip is there and in good shape then either you have a rust hole on the inner structure or more likely one of the 4 drain hoses are clogged, open the sunroof and look in each corner, you will see a drain hole. There is a rubber hose on each of them that travels down the interior and to the ground, take an air hose and blow through each drain hole to clear the debris out, after that it should be good to go, let us know if you cant find where the drains are..

The rubber seal is not 100% watertight though; some water will still seep in. If your car has had no seal for a while, chances are your drain tubes are also clogged from dirt, pollen, or other debris that has gotten in there while the seal was off. You should also make sure they're all clear as well.

yeah did you read my previous post? i already described the procedure for clearing the drain lines..he still needs the seal though, it will stop 90% of the water, the other 10% flows out of the drains

Now that you mention it, this does bring up a related question I have for you, 13bturbofc. I've read before that it is possible to clean out the sunroof drain tubes using compressed air. I've had my headliner and inner B-pillar trim out so I know more or less where these tubes run, but I can't see the openings from the sunroof track area. Is it really possible to clean these out without removing the interior trim? Do you have any photos of where you're applying the compressed air? (My drains are working fine now, but I'm sure they won't be forever...)

i can take a pic tomorrow, but the tubes are located at the very corner of the inner structure of the sunroof, you must first put back the sunroof, then in the front you will see a tray like piece of metal (inner structure) this tray is what catches the water and directs it to the drain tubes, the drain openings are hard to see from the top. because they kind of go under the roof of the car, but you can fit certain kinds of blow guns on there, if you cant acess them from up top then you can blow through them from the other side where they drain out under the car.

I thought the main drain openings were actually at the rear of the sunroof tray because there are definitely some hoses running down inside the B-pillars. I can't see any way you could direct compressed air to that part of the tray unless you could somehow remove the sunroof tracks, which I think is only possible if you remove the tray from inside after removing the headliner.

there is a drain in all 4 corners...the fronts you can get from up top but the rears you can get from the other side..they drain out in the rear wheel well.

Any pics yet? My drivers side seat belt gets wet when it rains heavy... I suspect that one of the drains is pluged.
