Looks Good!
Did you do the paint yourself, or did you have a shop do it for you? If you did it yourself, any tips or tricks that you picked up during the process, and what kind of paint did you use?

Im not trying to start a flame war or anything, but how come a car with a wild paint job is ok for the track, but is considered "gay" or "rice" on the streets?
PS-How are phone dial wheels gay? They maybe 14s but they are damn light for factory wheels produced in the 80s.

TO all of the naysayers with the attitude of "where is this?" and "rims are ghey!": Where is YOUR SCCA Car?
HMMMM. I thought so!

thanks for the replys
i was a bodyman for 10 years and did painting for about 16 years total. i switched fields about 2 years ago and now i do autocad. got a desk job and i'm getting fat, lol
anyway the paint is chroma base coat clear coat. body work took awhile but really came out well. the paint job is in my opinion to good for a track car. it will just get chip and scrathed anyway, but looks good for now.
most important thing to a good paint job is prep work the more time you spend on the little details the better the paint job will look. if you do a bad prep job the paint will show it really bad.
a good friend of mine still works for a bady shop so i got the use of the booth and he was dead set on me letting him paint it so i have to give ROBERT all the credit for a great job.
the reason i didn't paint the hood yet is i'm trying to get a sponsor so i thought a blank hood would provide some space. if nothing pops up i'll complete the hood and roof as well. that was in the original skecth but i was really hoping to get some sort of name on the car to help me out.
as far as the rims go i got 2 sets of them really cheap and the tires for that size rim is also a bit cheaper so for now i guess thats what i'll use gay or not. but i don't know if the engineeres that designed those were straight or not.
also an update i went 5 secs a lap faster than my old lap time from just 2 months ago. the header and exhuast work really great. now i have to work on better braking.
later and thanks

I think it looks good, I personally don`t like the style of the phone dial wheels, but cost and performance counts on the track, what would be gay is for you to have used heavy chrome spoke wheels at the track. IMO to use cheap, easy to replace, perfect fitting wheels that use cheaper tires, is SMART, not gay..........
.......just change the wheels for street use please :-)
