paint code
hi ,just joined,i recently bought a slightly vandalised 1988 rx7 red with 118000mls on clock.the back wheel arches are rusty, back spoiler ripped off and hole next to drivers door lock must have gained entry that way couple of minor dents but fairly good handles well, but i feel it is not as responsive as it could be, might be due to leak in exhaust near manifold ?haven't checked yet. in comparison to the
mazda rx2 and 3 which i had in the mid 70s if memory serves me right in top gear at 60mph if you floored the pedal it took off the rx7 doesn't do that.
the engine was reconditioned approximately 15000 mls ago i wonder?
anyway i need the paint code all i have is RH which is red but there are 3 reds what is the answer is the code in the chassis number ?
could do with a manual as i'm sure the motor has been improved on since i worked on an rx2
any help welcome
regards chris

Hmm, that's a good question. Maybe we could get one of the moderators to put something like that into a FAQ sticky? Something entitled "Frequently Asked Questions on the 2nd Generation RX-7 - FAQ for FC" should probably stand out pretty well for people who are new to the forum.
Maybe if you post the same question a few more times somebody will know the answer?
PS: This forum is full of hard love, so please take it as more of a welcome as opposed to thinking we are all just a bunch of jerks. If you spend some time reading through the various posts you will see what I mean.
