oxygen sensor from hell

Mine has been on since I bought the car new back in 86.Well I purchased the socket that fits entirely over the sensor but have noticed that the line going into the heater core located at the firewall has to be removed to get the proper angle to place the socket extension squarely into the o2 socket. This seems like a pain to have to flush the radiator. Is there a better way? I was wondering if the other type of sensor socket is better at all. I'm talking about the one which resembles a ring.

And there is no way to get a 7/8" wrench on it?

Maybe you can get something called a crows foot.

With it being threaded into the manifold for 19 years there is no way it will budge by virtue of a wrench being used. There is just no room for leverage so that is why I think the tool you posted a pic of will be better.Thanks.

You can get good leverage with drive extensions. I used two.

One really long one, and an angle extension. Its got a rounded drive head, so when you put a socket on it, it will bend at about 25 degrees or so.

very carefully heat it with a torch, then remove with your socket.
