I was wondering what kind of 02 sensor you guys bought.. also where you bough it from and whats your gas milage... I know they are a lot of threads on this. But i bought the cheapest universal o2 sensor from oxygensensors.com and i don't know i was thinking that maybe if i bought a performance or a expensier 02 sensor my car might improve in air /fuel mixture and gas milage. which o2 sensor do u reccomend! thanx guys and sorry for posting this thread since they are so many already. i get about 260 miles for 14 gallons... thats shifting at 3k but i have a street ported rebuild engine.

I have the stock O2 sensor with a non ported engine and don't get that good a milage!
It's unusual for me to crack 300kms on a tank of gas!
Smells rich too, but that could be the lack of cats
Still seem like poor milage though...

You're getting 18.5 mpg, which isn't all that bad. Especially since I know how Gainesville is, so a majority of that mileage is stop and go city traffic, correct?
The O2 sensor is really only going to help if you're getting that kind of mileage with all highway cruising miles. That's the only time the O2 helps out with telling the ECU to lean the mixture.
I usually get around 21-22 mpg, but I have an easy 15 minute cruise to work and 20 minute cruise to school, so I have much more highway miles.
So really, I don't think there's too much of a problem. I'm using a Bosch universal O2 sensor and it works fine. Under $20 at Advance Discount auto parts.
