overkill??
What I mean by threaded wrong is that the tails of the belts that are facing forwards need to be looped back through the top of the buckles so it faces towards the rear. The belt on rock climbing gear is the same way... but I can't find a picture online. You shouldn't be able to see the metal on the front part of the buckle... on my rock climbing harness that part has "danger" stamped on it so you don't forget to double back.
Wormiez, Show me a picture of you fully strapped in and getting your fire extinguisher out. You can ever use your beauty bar mounted camera for this.
I wish I could post a pic of the structural member which resides 3" above that top bar. I fail to see how something attached with un-gusseted 1/8" bar stock (which itself is flexing) can improve on what is already there. Your new roll cage won't attach up there, (as none of them do) so how will you cope with the lost rigidity you'll lose when removing that thing? lol (rhetorical question) If you had said "oh, thats my camera mounting bar. it doesn't do a damn thing but keep my camera aimed at the track" I would respect that and wouldn't be posting this. If there were a way to have you double blind test that bars effect on chasis rigidity you would have results as accurate as guessing. If you put that bar under a chasis flex test it might change things like .00009%, so they can claim it adds rigidity, but you would never notice it was missing if it weren't there.
You claim that in japan they use them therefore they must work. This is a falacious arguement. These people have paper walls in their houses and brought us things like the cold solder joints and shitty wiper relays. Yay japan and their superior stuff. lol My FC is by far the shittiest car I have ever owned. The interior was such crap I tore it all out, the electronics are problematic at best, and the paint looked worse than a 20 year old maaco ambasador paint job. This is on a vehicle with 124K on it when I took possession. My bmw of the same year was still pristine and was not grannied by the pervious owners by any means, and actually had higher mileage. It's interior was not brittle, nor sun faded to a green tint.
I do love the car for its suspension and drivetrain, but don't try and claim "japan made it so it must be good."

Wormiez, I think it would look nice without the middle bar. That just looks goofy with 3 bars.
You should get a tripod custom fitted for you camera
. Unfortunately, Jimmy is right because unless you have your own skid pad to test it, or have seen results first hand, I'd be a little skeptical. But whatever floats your boat. Roll cages of course are far superior.
Jimmy, That's pretty funny. But hey, my ps2 did come from japan, and that bad boy is wicked!
Those guys over there know what's goin' ON! It's just that Mazda has to save money where possible, and that means the wiper switch relay.
