Overheating After Mods

hi, on my 87 TII i have a FMIC, Rtec7 1.8, 720cc inj, walbro 225, pd delete, MBC, intake, 10.3mm plug wires, E fan w/ thermostat, and opend exhaust. I keep having problems with it heating up when i drive it, but when i'm sitting still and its around idle (it doesnt idle, lol) it cools back down. What could this be? and i'm prolly not going to be able to drive it for a lil while because i blew one of my cheap 90 degree elbows, XD. thanx in advance.

I'll take a stab at it, maybe if I'm wrong someone will be provoked to offer a better answer:

Well it sounds like the e-fan is working fine if it cools while stopped.

Do you have ducting to divert the air to the radiator? The belly pan? You need to make sure all the available air (coming in through the bumper) is going to good use. Block of any gaps around your radiator that air might divert to.

^^^^ the first thing that came to mind was belly pan might be missing.

I then thought about the FMIC blocking the air to the radiator and oil cooler.

you have any pics? What E-fan are you using?

Get the belly pan on, and make sure there's no place for the air to escape, except through your radiator/intercooler/oil cooler. Use foam, duct tape, whatever.
