Overheating?
Hey all of the sudden my car will lose water very quickly & over heat every few days. What do I do? Is there any fix or is this major? I can't have my car break on me again. Please help!! Thanks.

You have got to find the leak. I chased four on my old RX for months. Places to look: the heater hose under the oil filter; the 3/8" line under the intake manifold; the water pump rear housing; the thermostat neck. Hopefully it's not internal. Good luck..

I would replace all of the hoses even the heater hoses. Flush out the radiator and check the thermostat. Then refill the system with 50/50 mixute of antifreeze and then see how it is. If this does not work it could be leaking from the radiator, getting into the engine some how and being burnt or the heater core is leaking it. I hope this helped a little bit.

Is your overflow tank gaining in volume? Or does it remain the same and you just have to keep refilling? Your looking under the car for fluid leaks of course. How about first thing in the morning? In the morning do you get an abnormal amount of vapor out of the exaust?

I got mine at MazdaTrix. You are looking for 3 header hoses and 2 Radiator hoses. One of the heater hoses run from the engine to the drives side fire wall, this is the one that is buy the oil pressure sender. The second one runs from the passager side firewall to the pipe that sends it back to the radiator. The third one runs from the pipe into the radiator.
When I flushed my radiator(not the hole system) all I did was take a hose and shoot the water into the radiator throw the top filling cap. Make sure you leave the bottom of the radiator open.
To test the thermostat just take it out of the car and put it in boiling water and it would open if it is working right.
