Overheated a bit, now smokes a LOT!

So I overheated my engine a bit last week and now it smokes a lot of white smoke when cold. It's definately gas coming out of the exhaust. It's an S5 NA and the needle got to about 3/4ths up. It smokes constantly every morning for about 10 min or until it warms up.

I think I blew my engine, Power feels normal in first but weak in other gears. What did I do?

killed an iron not just a seal. i'm beginning to get annoyed with the term "coolant seal failure" because people tend to think they just need a basic overhaul, well you will need to find the failed component first before throwing seals at it.

How come it only smokes when it's cold though? I'm rebuilding my 87 already so I'll just drive this around til the other one is done, then I'll rebuild this one.
