Other Market Logicon question

Hi,
I was digging around in a 'JDM' post and saw this interior picture:

That logicon appears to have different controls and an LED display of some sort in the corner. I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered these or converted on to there car.

That is the digital climate control logicon. It uses an internal temperatures sensor to detect interior temperature, and then adjusts either the heeat or the a/c to maintain a temperature that you set. You can also manually oevr ride it to have it function just as the stock ones do.

I picked one up a year ago; its pretty nice. Took a bit of trickery to figure out the wiring harness (the one that leads into the stock logicon needs tinkering), but functions great.

Hey, Scathcart. Where did you get the logicon? how much did it cost? Do have info for re-wiring the stock dash for this unit.
I was just lamenting that our climate control doesn't have temp sense. I drive my wife's Blazer occasionally, and it's really nice to just set a temp and forget about the A/C-Heat.

Thanks for your info!

Had it shipped from japan from a forum member.

The wiring involves splicing some wires from the a-spec harness onto the j-spec plug harness. The two stock ones plug in. Some of the wires, match up, some do not.

would you be willing to take some pics of it up closer, of the switches and such, and of the LED, how it lights up and such. I would appreciate that.
