You probably have a current draw issue, that needs to be checked with a digital multi-meter

i have been through 3 optimas and never had one last more than 2 years and even had one melt down on my way back from SF and the acid ate the clear coat off the fender of my truck(it dropped a cell and the full field of the alternator trying to keep it charged cooked the battery).

never again, i won't put them in any of my cars.

Haha, holy ****.

I have 3 of them and swear by them. One in my Blazer, 4 years old, my gf's explorer, 2 years old and one in my 7 now about a year old. No problems with any of them. The one in my 7 died not too long ago, but I hadnt started the car on about a month, so it was expected. Took it up and recharged it, no problem.

Nice to see we can all play pretty well together
Looks like the yeas and nays are about even.

IF you live in the Metro Detroit area and want one of these copy down the phone number and address. Store owner said he has a limited number, like 40 to 50 left. When they`er gone so is the $75 price.

I think more people had problems then not, some have just not had long enough yet. They will usally do ok if you use every day but they are weaker then they should be. Why chance it? As I said b4 they make you wait for them to charge it for the warrenty!

Thats pretty standard, although 45 minutes is a little long. On my battery (not an optima) he tested it and it was 4 volts and 0% charge. After 10 minutes it was 8 volts and 0% charge so he decided it was dead and gave me a new one.

Deka makes a range of different batteries. I'm using the Intimidator. Never had the voltage drop below 12V when cranking...(and I have datalogs to prove it! )

Hey Aaron, how long has your battery lasted? I'm always looking for better and affordable batterys, seeing as I put them through hell. Is the Intimidator on par with the stats of the yellow tops? I'm having trouble finding em in Germany.

If Aaron's using it, I'm pretty sure its superior to the yellow tops.

Honestly I've only had the Intimidator for a few months since I just put the car back on the road. But the Deka PowerSports AGM in my Insight has been fine for 3 years. The Intimidator is well proven already in the world of EV drag racing.
