Opinons on Custom Exhaust Set up

Right now I have a CS 3in Dp and a RB testpipe and cat back. This set up is nice but I want full 3in and my friend wants his RB exhaust back. So im looking into what exhaust to get. Im upgrading turbo soon and am on a budget for the exhaust. Im going to fab this exhaust up in my buddies garage most likely

I already know Borla Xr-1s do wonders on rotary engines. This is my idea for an exhaust set up.

3in Single exhaust straight back with 2 Borla xr-1s in line to cut down the noise. Im not looking for it to be anywhere near as quiet as the RB but not ear piercing like a full CS setup.

Along with that exhaust will be a Greedy Td-06 kit with open dump wastegate

Do you like the RB? You can always get a new one from them. :p

How in the hell do you get away with running a test pipe in Commiefornia?

I like the RB but it it only comes in 2.5 in and I want 3in also dont feel like shelling out 700 bucks for it.

I've had test pipe on all my project cars for the past 4 years. I guess just don't drive around like a dumbass and cops won't pull you over. And if you do get pulled over and be nice to the cops and it sounds like you know what your talking about with cars and you tell them you only race at the track they won't mess with you.

When cops pulled me over in TII when i had a CS catback I would tell them i just got back from the track and havn't had time to put in the silencer yet. and they tell me just put it on and let me go my merry way.

It's actually $900 though, not $700

Thanks
hmm.. Ill have to take it into consideration 900$ is kinda steep in the pockets but it is a very high quality system. although its not 3in all the way through.

Well, I think the Y-pipe section and two smaller mufflers add up to the equivalent of 3".
