Ok. I know that this has been run to death, but I am new to this whole rotary thing, and I just purchased a nitrous kit for this car, and I am wanting to make sure it is in check before I throw a shot into it and blow my engine. The car smokes when it first starts, I dont know if it is because of the cold weather or not. When it first starts, it has some blackish smoke that smells like gas, then that will stop, after a min or two, it will start smoking white smoke. It looks like regular cold smoke, just there is alot of it. It doesnt smell sweet, if anything it smells like gas. It does not seem to be going thru any coolant either. I have two videos of it for you guys. The car also will pop alot when it is warming up, that is why the smoke blows farther out every now and then. The car has been very well taken care of by previous owner and myself. Oil changed every 3k, so I cant imagine that a coolant seal is going out. I will have videos up of it within 24 hours, waiting on them to be verified.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
my advice..... motor is getting old...... so if you want it to last, dont use the nitrous until after you do a rebuild........ if a rebuild is already in the works, and you just want to have a little fun w/ the current motor before it goes, then go for it! but personally, i think you're just gonna give that motor an early death...it already sounds tired

turbo or not? and have you had the fuel injectors balanced? could be leaky injectors causing the initial puff o' smoke and then they may be letting in too much fuel everytime after.
but I could be wrong
