opinion on ARC products

hi everyone .. well i should be picking up my 88 rx7 fc3s t2 on wed... and ofcourse im already looking to mod it.. i really like the way the hks SSQ sounds (on anything thats boosted!) but i have a good deal lined up on a ARC bov and supposedly a ARC TMIC ... i havent seen a arc tmic for the FC rx7 (only a FMIC) but i wanted to get peoples general opinions when it comes to ARC and their products...

i ordered a arc bov once....it was a pos. half the time it wouldnt even open. i have the hks ssqv, with the racing beat racing exhaust so boost is at 10psi. it is a beautiful marriage. the hks has a awesome high pitch sound! hks is a trusted name that has been proven great time and time again....if you have to second guess then dont buy it. as with everything, you get what you pay for.

i got the arc ti shift ****... its almost perfect and exactly what i want... except it has a plastic bushing that is threaded... it wasnt FULL titanium and threaded on the titanium itself...

the titanium is threaded to fit the bushing, then the bushing was tap to your size needed....

i guess its cheaper that way... but the way it feels, excusing this little imperfection, to me arc makes one best feeling *****.

now thats my opinion on arc, great "accessory" company.. not so much on the "performance" side.

the good thing about the bushing insert, is if you order the wrong one... atleast you can just run a tap through it once and make it fit. LOL (it happened to me after a 4 month wait, but i ordered the right one, they sent the wrong one..)

ARC=ftw.

I, miraculously, found their intake for my AE86. It's pretty.

But yea. They're a pretty good company. If you're looking for a HKS Super-sequential, I may have one laying around, I'll have to look.

My experience with ARC hasn't been great...parts and stuff don't seem as well made as others...but...I've never gotten any bad feedback from anyone else, so.....

Its over priced and not all that well engineered. The only ARC product I've ever seen was the TMIC, and its just a crappy as stock.
